Zombies in a street near you

I’ve seen quite a few zombies walking the streets of Sydney lately, not the kind that have had way too much to drink and should’ve gone home hours ago, but the kind with freshly covered dirt, blood and brains. I’ve spotted a variety of zombies including a zombie bride and groom, a zombie family, lunching zombies and zombies going about their business on a Thursday afternoon. What that business is, I can only imagine.

Since my zombie sightings I’ve learnt of events taking place around the country and world where people are gathering to do a zombie walk. A zombie walk, which can also be known as a zombie mob, zombie march, zombie horde, zombie lurch, zombie shamble, zombie shuffle or zombie crawl, is basically an organized gathering of people who dress up in zombie costumes. Many of these events raise money for charitable organisations and raise awareness for the Brain Foundation. It’s definitely one the quirkier events in the social calendar.

If you’re in Sydney and want to get involved the Zombie walk is taking place October 27
The Brisbane zombie walk is on October 21 and on October 28 in Melbourne. ( All other states appear to have held a zombie walk this year already)

If dressing up as a zombie isn't high on your list of things to do, The Zombie Family Stickers may be a more appropriate way to show your Zombie pride.
Zombie family stickers includes  9 cadaverous, brain-hungry stickers of the whole family.
